Original Items: One-of-a-kind set. An interesting story is attached to this set. The sword was found in a British Flea/Antique Market in NEWARK, Lincolnshire in England sometime in the 1990's. Then in the last couple of years the Commission was discovered in New England's most breathtakingly beautiful Fine Antiques Shop in Chatham, Massachusetts. Now reunited, making a very compelling display of American Colonial history.

A fine Officer's Small Sword, the boat shaped hilt being solid Silver mounted, with hall marks next to the blade on the forward side of the guard. It is fitted with a Colichmarde style 34 1/2" blade, with an overall length of 40" in its original leather scabbard. The leather is a lovely matured brown color, and the fittings are all silver-plated brass.. The Blade showes traces of engravings and the rear of the scabbard's top mount engraved:-
